Online Ornithological Newsletters: Issue #9 (Connecticut)

The purpose of this weekly series is to provide links to the online newsletters of local, State, Provincial, and national Audubon societies, bird clubs, bird conservation organizations, bird observatories, and ornithological societies of the United States and Canada. Unless otherwise indicated, individual newsletters are in .pdf format. All of the links listed below are in .html format.

Connecticut (7 newsletters listed below):

Chickadee Chatter [click on Newsletter] (newsletter of the Litchfield Hills Audubon Society, Litchfield) - Only the most recent issue is currently available online in .html format: March 2007 (Volume 51, Issue 2). The mast-head features a Black-capped Chickadee perched on a conifer branch.

In Flight [click on In Flight](newsletter of Greenwich Audubon, Greenwich) - Only the most recent issue is currently available online: Spring 2007.

Menunkatuck (newsletter of the Menunkatuck Audubon Society, Branford) - Issued 6 times/year. 45 issues are available online; earliest: July 1999. For volumes prior to 2005, selected articles from each issue are also available in .html format.

Newsletter (of the Darien Audubon Society, Darien) - The Newsletter link doesn't work on my PC.

Newsletter (of the Natchaug Ornithological Society, Mansfield) - Issued 8-10 times/year. The Web site lists 24 issues available online (April 1998 to January 2001), but none of the links seem to work.

The Otter and Hawk (newsletter of Audubon Sharon, Sharon) - Issued 4 times/year. 6 issues are currently available online; earliest: Spring 2004.

Wingbeat (newsletter of the Mattabeseck Audubon Society, East Haddam) - Only the most recent issue is currently available online in .html format: Winter/Spring 2007 (Volume 33, Number 4). The mast-head features an Osprey in flight.
