“Some Really Fine Blogs Out There!” & Warbler Politics

PBurns of Terrierman’s Daily Dose recently took a tour of the Internet and discovered “there is some quality writing and thought-provoking stuff out there.” I’m honored that he was impressed enough with Birds Etcetera to include it among his 28 “Blogs Worth Checking,” especially since most of the other blogs on his list are about hunting and fishing.

Anyway, PBurns has done some “quality writing” of his own, including one about How Warbler Politics Made Two Presidents. Can you name the two warblers? The two presidents? No? Better read the article then, so you can impress all your birding friends with your knowledge of the influence of our avian friends on presidential politics.

Thanks, Larry. I'm glad you find my blog "unique" and not just plain weird. Every blog has to have a niche, and I guess I've found mine.

Thanks for the link John! Weird is just different, and different is always good in my book :)

I am clicking through the birding blogs, but I like yours the best so far as it has a voice and is nice and eclectic. Plus we are, more or less, in the same neck of the woods.

I put up a piece on coffee, tea, the World Bank and birds a couple of days ago that you might find of interest. It's not news to a lot of the bird folks, but it's news to the hunting and dog crowd which generally knows less about the feathered stuff and need to know more. Plus maybe if I write something nice about them, maybe Starbucks will give me free coffe :)
