ORNIS

The ORNithological Information System (ORNIS) is a collaborative effort of the Biodiversity Research Center Informatics at the University of Kansas, in partnership with UC Berkeley, Yale University, and 26 collaborating institutions “to create a biodiversity informatics portal for ornithology collections.” One of the goals of the project is to develop predictive models (using specimen records and environmental data) that can then be used to produce range maps of past, present, and future distribution.
