Cultural appeal?

I think not.

You know, I'd heard that old Piotr Illych Tchaikovsky wrote a lesser known and seldom performed scene between the second and third acts. Glad to see some astute ballet afficianados are going to the trouble to resurrect it from obscurity.

Is it art? Say what you will, but I sure couldn't do that on a pole (not that anyone would want to see me try in the first place).

Well, as they say, art is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I found this dance, as performed by Ms. Coates, to be very artistic (i.e., graceful and sylish) and extremely athletic, ranking right up there (in terms of difficulty) with most of the routines you see performed by gymnasts. Or maybe I'm just a dirty of man.
