We Come from Monkeys!

As this song from the band Emerald Rose says, it’s "A fundamental problem, but a scientific fact." This is one of the more entertaining things I’ve seen come out of the ongoing debate on evolution and intelligent design. Lay back and enjoy!

Darn it, I wish people would quit saying that. We DO NOT come from monkeys. Monkeys and Humans come from a common ancestor that was neither monkey nor human.

Monkeys may be the closet thing to us now, but at an earlier time we were much closer to the common ancestor than to the monkeys now.

Please try to get that right.

Have a nice day.

Okay, anonymous, your point is well taken and I get it. But the main purpose of the post was to highlight what I thought was a really cool evolutin-based song, and I think it would be pretty difficult to build a slong around the phrase, "We share a common ancestor with the monkeys."
