The Rollo Beck Online Exhibit

In a previous post, I made reference to an exhibit on the life of ornithologist Rollo Beck at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. The online exhibit is available here. A fascinating collection of material!

John - as we share an interest in ornithological history, I will drop off or send a copy of the book Mel Carriker wrote about his father, Meb Carriker, and Meb's life and expeditions in Colombia. Not brilliant prose, but compelling reading anyway. Mel just published a second book about Meb's expeditions in Bolivia. Let me know if you would like me to get a copy from Mel (no ethical issues - he isn't charging for them).

Yes, thank you Ellen, I would be delighted to receive a copy of this book. I've heard about it, but have not yet seen it. Not making any promises here, but I might even be able to write a brief review of it, if time allows.
