Bird Cartography

Cartography, the Weblog of the Canadian Cartographic Association, has posted a nice review of Breeding Bird Atlas maps that are available online. I’m not sure it’s a comprehensive listing, but at least it’s a good start. It’s nice to see cartographers addressing the subject of mapping bird distribution.

Birds and their conservation were the focus of a 33-year career as a professional wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that took me from the westernmost Aleutian Islands to the political intrigue of Washington, D.C.
