Joel Weintraub complained on the BirdChat listserv that one of his posts from 1996 was pirated and published (essentially verbatim) without attribution in the June 2002 issue of Birding magazine by an author identified only as Anonymous, thus spawning a most interesting discussion about plagiarism.
