Emerging Infectious Diseases: A Peer-Reviewed Journal Tracking and Analyzing Disease Trends. EID is a monthly journal published by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. All issues of all volumes (1995-2002) are available online, and all articles can be downloaded in their entirety. While the major focus is on infectious diseases that pose a threat to human health and safety, such diseases often include a wild animal component. So it's not too surprising that a keyword search on "bird" retrieved 307 documents (NOTE: this figure is somewhat misleading as the typical article consists of multiple documents, e.g., abstract, text, figures, and tables).
